National Summary Report

Fog lingering on the M4 Dublin/Sligo Rd between J8 Kilcock and J9 Enfield and then on the M6 Dublin/Galway Rd at J2 Kinnegad West. Reports of fog on the M8 Cork/Dublin Rd around J8 Fethard and J9 Cashel North. Use fog lights in affected areas but remember to switch them off afterwards. *MAIN TRAFFIC* *LIMERICK* The northbound bore of the Limerick Tunnel has fully reopened following an earlier incident. Traffic remains busy in the area. * City traffic is heavy inbound on the Corbally Rd, busy both ways on O’Connell Ave and inbound on the Dock Rd and Tipperary Rd. *KILDARE* Reports of a fuel spill on the Bundle of Sticks R/A on the Old Newbridge Rd (R445). The council has been informed. *N11/WICKLOW* No further reports of delays on N11 Wexford/Dublin Rd northbound from Kilmacanogue to M50/M11 Merge.

*CITY TRAFFIC* *GALWAY* Overall it's a fairly quiet morning for Galway traffic so far; slow inbound on the N17 Tuam Rd through Claregalway, slow on the Knocknacarra Rd inbound, on Bishop O'Donnell Rd and Seamus Quirke Rd. No problems on the N59 approaching the city from Moycullen. * Bear in mind major works continue on Seamus Quirke Rd and Bishop O'Donnell Rd (R338) until the end of March. *CORK* In the south of Cork City traffic is busy eastbound on the N25 South Ring Rd between the Bandon Rd R/A and Sarsfield Rd R/A. It is also busy down Airport Hill and inbound from Grange and Frankfield approaching the Kinsale Rd R/A. Traffic into Douglas is busy on Carr’s Hill and Maryborough Hill. In the north of the city there is standard delays inbound on the N8 Dublin Rd approaching the Dunkettle Interchange. *WATERFORD* No delays in Waterford City.

*TRAVEL* *FLIGHTS* As a result of heavy snowfall in the UK and across Europe, there may be some disruption to the flights. * At present, fog is causing delays in the UK at Manchester, London City and Heathrow Airport and there are also delays into Berlin. * Passengers are advised to check their airline's website for updates. For details of flight arrivals into Dublin Airport please 'Click Here'. *IRISH RAIL* The Irish Rail fare revision will see a new fare structure with three basic ticket types for all Intercity routes. *ROADWORKS* *CARLOW* Major works take place at roundabout joining the N80 Carlow/Portlaoise Rd and Hacketstown Rd (R726) until Wed 29th Feb. Long delays expected. *LONGFORD* The N63 Longford/Roscommon Rd is closed at the jct of the Stonepark/ Ballymacormick Rd (R397) and at the Ballymahon Rd (R392) jct in Lanesborough. Works will operate there 24/7 until Fri 30th March. * Works are in place on the N4 Sligo/Dublin Rd between Longford and Newtownforbes until Wed 29th Feb. Single lane traffic is in operation. *GALWAY* Works will take place on the N18 Galway/Gort Rd at Kiltartan from 8am to 5pm each day until Mon 27th Feb. Expect delays. *WEXFORD* Overnight works will take place on the Quay in New Ross from 8pm until 6am Mon to Fri until Fri 24th Feb. *SLIGO* Lane closures will be in place on the N59/Sligo/Ballina Rd at the jct with the Inishcrone Rd (R297) until Tues 13th March. Expect delays as a result.
