Dublin Summary Report
*MAIN TRAFFIC*
* The N7/Naas Rd is slow outbound approaching Newlands Cross.
* Traffic is light in Dublin City at present.
* M50 traffic is moving well in both directions so far this afternoon.
*ROAD SAFETY* It's 'Back to School' this week and drivers are reminded to:
• Slow down
• Observe the speed limit in school zones at all times
• Be alert for school children walking and cycling to school
• Be aware of students stepping off school buses
*N3/M50 INTERCHANGE* The new N3 Interchange opened to traffic yesterday evening, completing the M50 Upgrade Scheme.
* The M50 Upgrade Scheme included widening 32km of motorway to three lanes, adding a fourth auxiliary lane between Interchanges, upgrading ten interchanges including the Red Cow and removing the West-Link toll barrier.
*SOUTHSIDE ROADWORKS*
* Major works are in place on the Rock Rd from Mount Merrion Ave to Booterstown Ave.
* A new ‘all stop’ layout is in place at the Killiney Hill/Military Rd jct. Traffic on all approaches to the junction will come to a complete stop. Motorists will only proceed through the junction when it is safe to do so.
* A stop/go system is in place through Chapelizod at Anna Livia Bridge until mid-September.
* Works will be carried out from Goatstown Rd to the Larchfield Rd this week, from 8am-6pm daily until tomorrow (3rd).
*NORTHSIDE ROADWORKS*
* Station Rd in Sutton will close for works each night from 7pm until 5am the following morning until tomorrow (3rd).
* The Rathbeale Rd (R125) in Swords is closed until Nov, from Naul Rd (R108) to Corrstown Rd (R122).
* In Balbriggan, a number of road closures and restrictions are in place for two sets of works being carried out.
