Change to Luas Red Line services on Saturday 4th September

The Luas Red Line service will run from Tallaght to Smithfield Stops only between the hours of 9am and 1pm on Saturday 4th September.

Met Eireann Weather Forecast for Friday, 3rd September

SMALL CRAFT WARNING: Southeasterly winds will occasionally reach force 6 today and tonight on Irish coasts from Mizen Head to Slyne Head to Rossan Point Issued at 05:00 on 03-Sep-2010 FRIDAY: Friday will be another warm and mostly dry day. It will remain cloudier along the west coast with perhaps a little drizzle in these parts. Elsewhere, it will be brighter with spells of hazy sunshine in particular in Leinster and Ulster. Highest temperatures will climb to between 17 and 22 degrees, with light to moderate southeasterly winds. Friday night will be mild and dry in most areas. However rain will spread in to southwestern and western areas by daybreak.

Aviva Stadium: Getting There

• DART: There will be extra capacity on the DART on event days. Purple and Red ticket holders heading to the event should disembark at Grand Canal Dock. However, all other passengers should disembark at Lansdowne Rd. • After the event, all DART passengers must go to Lansdowne Rd station, where a new forecourt has been built to cope with the huge numbers using the service. Dublin: New Luas & Metro Projects

A number of projects are underway to provide new Luas and Metro Services for Dublin. Currently, over 90,000 passenger trips are made every day on Luas. ** Construction has already commenced on two of the new Lines; The Luas Line B1 Cherrywood Green Line Extension will extend the Luas Green Line to Cherrywood and Bride’s Glen. This line is scheduled to come into service in 2010.

Dublin: Parking Facilities Close To The O2

Car parking is available near The O2, at the IFSC, National College of Ireland and Connolly Station carparks and a bit further away at Jervis St. However, there is no guarantee that there will be spaces available for people attending The O2.

Dublin: City Development Plan 2011-2017

In 2010, Dublin City Council is creating a new city development plan that will shape how Dublin grows for years to come. Members of the public can view the Draft Development Plan. • The current Economic Climate means that there is time and the opportunity to reflect on what we want for the future of the city. Rapid development in recent years has resulted in fragmentation and some communities feeling left behind. The plan hopes to rectify this. • An important aspect of the plan, is that it goes beyond 2017 looking forward to 2030. • Key Words for this plan are Positive Change and Competitiveness.

Dublin: M50 Junction Numbers

**JUNCTION 1 CITY CENTRE: The M50 starts at the Dublin Port Tunnel. Non tunnel traffic heads into the city centre via East Wall Rd. **JUNCTION 2 COOLOCK: This gives access to Coolock lane. It’s also known as the Santry exit. **JUNCTION 3 THE M1: Junction 3 is the M1/M50 Roundabout & is the start of the M50 southbound. Northbound it is the start of the main Airport Rd and the M1 Motorway to Belfast. **JUNCTION 4 BALLYMUN: Citybound this exit leads to Ballymun, Mobhi Road, Botanic Road and Phibsborough and Constitution Hill. **JUNCTION 5 FINGLAS: This is the exit for the N2/North Rd. Citybound the North Rd will take you via Finglas, Glasnevin and Phibsborough. **JUNCTION 6 BLANCHARDSTOWN: This is the exit for the N3 Navan Rd. It is the main route to the north west, passing Clonee, Dunshaughlin, Navan & Cavan.

Dublin: College Green Bus Corridor

• The College Green Bus Corridor came into effect on Monday 27th July 2009 and operates weekdays only 7am to 10am and from 4pm to 7pm. During these periods, only public transport vehicles and bicycles have access to the College Green location. CLICK HERE FOR MAPS + FAQ’S

Toll Charges: Limerick Tunnel

• The Limerick Tunnel opened to traffic on Tuesday 27th July 2010. • The Tunnel runs under the River Shannon for a distance of (approx) 900m and links Coonagh on the northern bank with Bunlicky on the southern bank of the river.

Toll Charges: Dublin Port Tunnel

• The Dublin Port Tunnel links Dublin Port to the M1 and M50 at Swords (north Dublin). • Goods Vehicles with a design gross weight exceeding 3,500 kilograms are exempt from tolls. • Remove sunglasses and turn on headlights (dipped) before entering the Tunnel. Also check that you have sufficient fuel for the 5.6 km journey and tune into FM radio to hear any instructions the Operator may issue while you are within the Tunnel.

Toll Charges: East Link, Dublin

* The Eastlink Toll Bridge is located in Dublin City. The Toll bridge spans the River Liffey and is the last crossing point before Dublin Harbour, connecting the north side of the city (Dublin Port, The O2) to the south side (Sean Moore Rd (Ringsend). * See charges below.

Toll Charges: M4

* The M4 (Kilcock-Enfield-Kinnegad) motorway is located in the mid-east of Ireland and passes through Counties Meath, Westmeath and Kildare. The toll road is approximately 35km east of Dublin on the Dublin to Sligo, Dublin to Galway route. * See charges below.

Toll Charges: M50 Barrier Free Tolling.

M50 Barrier Free Tolling commenced at midnight Friday 29th August 2008. Traffic can free flow on the motorway using any of the four lanes in each direction, travelling under the barrier free toll gantries without disruption. The maximum speed limit is 100km/ph.

Toll Charges: M8

* The Rathcormac/Fermoy Bypass is located in the South-West of Ireland in County Cork. The toll road is approximately 15km north of Dunkettle on the N8 Cork to Dublin route. * See charges below.

Toll Charges: M6

* The toll is located in the West of Ireland in Cappataggle on the M6 Galway/Dublin Rd between J15 Ballinasloe West and J16 Loughrea. * The toll is approximately 13.5km West of Ballinasloe and 42km east of Galway. * See charges below.

Toll Charges: M1

The M1 (Gormanstown to Monasterboice motorway) is located in the east of Ireland and passes through County Meath and County Louth. The toll road is approximately 30 km north of Dublin airport on the Dublin to Belfast route. * See charges below.

Toll Charges: N25 Waterford City Bypass

* The N25 Waterford City Bypass is 24km in length and stretches from Kilmeaden, Co.Waterford to Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny.

Toll Charges: M7/M8

The M7/M8 Portlaoise to Cullahill/Castletown Motorway opened on Friday the 28th May 2010. * This scheme is bypassing Abbeyleix and Cullahill on the N8 and Mountrath and Borris-in-Ossory on the N7.

Toll Charges: M3

The M3 Clonee/North of Kells motorway scheme opened to traffic in June 2010.

Dublin: M50 Toll Charges 2010

M50 Barrier Free Toll Charges remain the same until further notice. * The M50 motorway is a radial route around Dublin and is intersected by the principal radial routes, i.e. M1, M2, N3, N4 (also serving N6), N7 (also serving N8 & N9) and N11. * Barrier-Free Tolling went in to operation on the M50 from 30th August 2008, between Junction 6 (N3 Blanchardstown) and Junction 7 (N4 Lucan). * Charges vary depending on payment method, please see charges below.
