MAIN TRAFFIC

GALWAY
The N17/Tuam Rd is closed both ways at Knockdoe following a fatal collision. Northbound traffic is diverting onto the N63/Roscommon Rd and on to Tuam. Southbound divert at Currandrum School towards Corrandulla and on to Loughgeorge. Delays should be expected.
Works are in place at the Forster St/College Rd Jct today and tomorrow from 7am until 2pm approx. This is affecting outbound traffic on College Rd.

FERMANAGH
Police are in attendance at a security alert at East Bridge St, Enniskillen. Avoid the area if possible.

TIPPERARY
The level crossing at Kilsheelan (R706) is closed for works until Tuesday (21st). Diversions operate via the Kilheffernan R/A.

N72/CORK
A stop/go system will be in place 24/7 in Fermoy on the N72 Fermoy/Mallow Rd until Mon 15th July. Works will operate between the Hospital and the Richmond Hill/Patrick St Jct. Long delays are expected.

CITY TRAFFIC

LIMERICK
Moving well in Limerick City at this time.
Major works take place between Ballinacurra Rd and Punches Cross (R526) until Jan 2014. These works are likely to cause delays during rush hour.

CORK
No major problems for traffic in Cork City.
From 7:30pm to 11pm, works take place on Anglesea St, Waterfall Rd and Douglas Rd until Wed 22nd May.
Grattan St will close northbound each night from 7:30pm to midnight from Sheares St jct until Wed 22nd May.
Works take place on Sarsfield Rd from 9:30am to 4pm until Wed 22nd May.
Works will take place at the Anglesea St/South Terrace jct until Fri 24th May.

WATERFORD
Moving well in Waterford City.

KILKENNY
High St in Kilkenny City will close overnight for works from 6pm to 2am until Fri 31st May. It will be closed Monday to Thursdays only.

EVENTS

LONGFORD
Participants in Stage 2 of An Post Rás have departed from Longford Town and are travelling through Lanesborough, Ballygar, Ballinasloe, Portumna and Terryglass before finishing up in Nenagh at approx 4pm.

ROSCOMMON
Racing will take place at Roscommon Racecourse. The first race is at 6pm and the last race is at 9pm. Expect extra traffic in the area before and after the event. See the 'Events' section of the AA Roadwatch website for further details.

ROADWORKS

MEATH
The N3 Dublin/Cavan Rd is closed both ways from the Derver R/A to Drumbaragh R/A in Kells until Mon 3rd June. Diversions are in place via the R147 (Old N3).

WESTMEATH
Works operate on the Mullingar/Athlone Rd (R390) from 8am to 5pm until Fri 24th May.

KILDARE
Works will take place on the Enfield/Kinnegad Rd (R148) at Moyvalley from 8am to 6pm until Fri 24th May.

CLARE
Limerick Rd (R463) in Killaloe will close between Clarisford Rd and Ardclooney from 8am to 6pm until Thurs 23rd May. Diversions will be in place.

OFFALY
The Tullamore/Portarlington Rd (R420) will close in Tullamore from 7am to 7pm until Wed 22nd May. It will close from the Hop Hill R/A to the jct of Church Rd. Motorists are advised to enter/exit Tullamore via the Clonminch Rd (R443) or the Daingean Rd.

ROSCOMMON
Works are in place on the N5 Westport/Longford Rd from Frenchpark to Bellangare from 8am to 6pm until Mon 27th May.

N2/MONAGHAN
The N2 Derry/Dublin Rd is closed southbound from Tydavnet Jct to Tirnaneill between Monaghan Town and Emyvale until Fri 19th July. HGVs should divert at Aughnacloy to Armagh and rejoin the N2 at Monaghan Town. Expect delays.

WEXFORD
Traffic management is in operation on the Gorey/Clogh Rd (R772 old N11) until Fri 24th May. Works will be in place just south of Gorey from 8am to 6pm.
