MAIN TRAFFIC


MEATH
  Lane closures are in place on the M1 both ways from J7 Julianstown to J8 Duleek until 4pm.

TIPPERARY
  Works are taking place on the N24 Limerick/Waterford Rd in Tipperary Town until 5pm. As a result, motorists travelling towards Limerick is being diverted. This is to facilitate repair works to a burst water main. Signage will be in place.

LAOIS
  A stop/go system is in place on the Mountrath/Kinnity Rd (R440) approx 4km from Mountrath until 8pm and delays are expected.

GALWAY
  Works take place at the following locations: between the Dublin Rd R/A and Carrowmoneash R/A on the N18(Claregalway Rd), the N17 Galway/Sligo Rd between Tuam and the Corrofin Rd and on the N84/Headford Rd between Headford and Shrule.

CITY TRAFFIC


GALWAY
  No delays or incidents to report for traffic in Galway City.

CORK
  Traffic is moving well in Cork City.
  The Cork City School Sports Day takes place today until 5pm at Pairc Ui Chaoimh. This will attract large crowds and delays should be expected on Lwr Glanmire Rd, through the JLT, on Centre Park Rd and Monahan Rd.
  Works take place on Sarsfield Rd until 4pm.
  Works take place at the Anglesea St/South Terrace jct until Friday (24th).

LIMERICK
  No major problems for traffic in Limerick City at this stage.

WATERFORD
  In Waterford City, no major issues for traffic.

ROADWORKS


SLIGO
  Temporary traffic lights will operate in Ballygawley Village for works. Works will be located at the jct of the Ballygawley/Ballintogher Rd (R290) and Sligo/Ballygawley Rd (R284).

OFFALY
  The Portarlington Rd (R420) in Tullamore is closed until 7pm from the Hop Hill R/A to the jct of Church Rd. Motorists are advised to take the Clonminch Rd (R443) or the Daingean Rd.

CLARE
  Knockadoon Rd, Tulla will be closed between Chapel St and the Ennis/Portumna Rd (R352) until Fri 24th May. It will be closed for works from 8am to 6pm daily and diversions will be in place.

N72/CORK
  A stop/go system will be in place 24/7 in Fermoy on the N72 Fermoy/Mallow Rd until Mon 15th July between the Hospital and the Richmond Hill/Patrick St Jct. Long delays are expected.

MEATH
  The N3 Dublin/Cavan Rd is closed both ways from the Derver R/A to Drumbaragh R/A in Kells until Mon 3rd June. Diversions are in place via the R147 (Old N3).

WESTMEATH
  Works operate on the Mullingar/Athlone Rd (R390) from 8am to 5pm until this Friday (24th).

KILDARE
  Works take place on the Enfield/Kinnegad Rd (R148) at Moyvalley from 8am to 6pm daily until Fri (24th).

EVENTS


KERRY
  An Post Rás Stage 4 has departed from Listowel and participants will travel through Castleisland, Farranfore, Kenmare and Lauragh before finishing up in Glengarriff at approx 4pm. Motorists are advised to be extra vigilant on approach and to expect delays.

SLIGO
  Racing will take place at Sligo Racecourse. The first race is at 5:40pm and the last race is at 8:40pm. Sligo Racecourse is located at Cleveragh, 1km from Sligo town centre just off the Pearse Road. Expect extra traffic in the area before and after the event.
