MAIN TRAFFIC


M4/KILDARE
  Gardai are en route to reports of a crash eastbound on the M4 Sligo/Dublin Rd between J6 Celbridge and J5 Leixlip in the right lane. Take extra care.

M1/MEATH/LOUTH
  A mobile right lane closure will operate on the M1 between J8 Duleek and J10 Drogheda North from 9:30am to 4pm. The works will start on the northbound stretch and will then travel south.

TIPPERARY/LAOIS
  Hard shoulder closures will operate on the M7 Dublin/Limerick Rd northbound at J23 Moneygall from 9am to midday and from 1pm to 3pm at J21 Borris In Ossory. Approach with care.

N72/CORK
  A stop/go system will be in place 24/7 in Fermoy on the N72 Fermoy/Mallow Rd until Mon 15th July between the Hospital and the Richmond Hill/Patrick St jct. Long delays are expected.

CITY TRAFFIC


GALWAY
  Heavy inbound on the Headford Rd between the Kirwin R/A and the Bodkin R/A due to works in the area. Also busy both ways on Bother na dTreabh as a result. Elsewhere, busy inbound on the N17 Tuam Rd approaching the Tuam rd jct.

CORK
  Heavy inbound on the N8 Dublin Rd towards the Dunkettle Interchange and Busy eastbound on the N40 South Ring Rd between the Bandon Rd and the Sarsfield Rd. Delays also both ways on Albert St; particularly inbound from the South City Link Rd.

LIMERICK
  Still slow inbound from Greenfields Rd onto O Connell Ave and through to Lower Mallow St. Also slow inbound from the Corbally Rd to Athlunkard St and from Mulgrave St onto Sexton St.

KILKENNY
  Traffic lights are out of action at The Parade in Kilkenny City. Take extra care on approach.

WATERFORD
  No delays or incidents to report in Waterford City.

EVENTS


TIPPERARY
  Racing will take place at Clonmel Racecourse with the first race at 5:55pm and the last race at 9pm. Powerstown Park Racecourse in Clonmel is situated on the N24/Clonmel Bypass approx. 3km from the town centre.

CORK
  An Post Rás Stage 5 gets underway at 11am in Glengarriff and will see participants travel through Kealkill. They will then travel through Ballingeary, Macroom, Millstreet, Banteer, Mallow, Doneraile and Kildorrery before finishing up in Mitchelstown at approx. 4pm. Motorists are advised to be extra vigilant in the area and to expect some delays. See the 'Events' section of the AA Roadwatch website for further details.

ROADWORKS


CORK
  Cross Douglas Rd will be closed from the Douglas Rd end from 9:30am to 3pm for water repairs.

TIPPERARY
  The local road at Glounroe in Rearoe is closed until 7pm. Diversions are in place and local access is maintained. The road will close again on Friday 24th.

CLARE
  Gilloge Rd, Cappavilla will close between Derryfadda Rd and Old Burlington Factory entrance from 8am to 6pm each day (excl Sat/Sun) until to Tues 28th May. Diversions will be in place.

WESTMEATH
  Works operate on the Mullingar/Athlone Rd (R390) from 8am to 5pm each day until Friday (24th).

MEATH
  The N3 Dublin/Cavan Rd is closed both ways from the Derver R/A to Drumbaragh R/A in Kells until Mon 3rd June. Diversions are in place via the R147 (Old N3).
