MAIN TRAFFIC


M8/TIPPERARY/CORK
  The M8 Dublin/Cork Rd is closed until at least 1pm southbound from J11 Cahir South to J12 Mitchelstown North due to a fatal crash. Traffic is diverting at J11 onto the Old N8 (R639) and back on at J12.

N72/CORK
  A stop/go system will be in place 24/7 in Fermoy on the N72 Fermoy/Mallow Rd until Mon 15th July between the Hospital and the Richmond Hill/Patrick St jct. Long delays are expected.

WATERFORD
  From 8am until 3pm, a stop/go system will be in place on the N25 Waterford/Cork Rd at Burgery, Dungarvan. Delays should be expected.

MEATH
  The N3 Dublin/Cavan Rd is closed both ways from the Derver R/A to Drumbaragh R/A in Kells until Mon 3rd June. Diversions are in place via the R147 (Old N3).

CITY TRAFFIC


GALWAY
  Slow inbound on the Tuam Rd. Lighter than usual on the Dublin Rd for this time.

CORK
  Standard delays eastbound on the N40 South Ring Rd towards the Sarsfield Rd R/A and nearby on the N71 Wilton Rd approaching Dennehys Cross. Busy also inbound on the N8 Dublin Rd towards the Dunkettle Interchange and from the South City Link Rd onto Albert St.
  Xpose Live is on at the Silversprings Hotel in Cork City until Sun 26th May. The show will run from 3pm until 9:30pm on Friday and from 10am until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Delays are likely on the Lwr Glanmire Rd and around Tivoli itself.

LIMERICK
  Overall a fairly quiet morning for traffic just slow on Athlunkard St, O'Connell Ave and on Dock Rd.

WATERFORD
  No major delays or incidents to report in Waterford.


EVENTS


CORK
  An Post Rás Stage 6 gets underway at 11am in Mitchelstown and will bring participants through to Cahir. Participants will then travel through Cashel, Urlingford, Freshford, Ballyragget, Gorteen and Killeshin before finishing up in Carlow Town at approx 4pm. Motorists are advised to be extra vigilant on approach and to expect delays.
  Racing will take place at Cork Racecourse today. The first race is at 5:35pm and the last race is at 8:40pm. Cork Racecourse is situated 2km from Mallow on the N72/Killarney Rd. Extra traffic can be expected in the area before and after the races. See the 'Events' section of the AA Roadwatch website for further details.

ROADWORKS


CLARE
  Gilloge Rd, Cappavilla will close between Derryfadda Rd and Old Burlington Factory entrance from 8am to 6pm each day (excl Sat/Sun) until to Tues 28th May. Diversions will be in place.

WESTMEATH
  Works operate on the Mullingar/Athlone Rd (R390) from 8am to 5pm.
