AA Insurance Services launch car and home insurance.

AA establishes new Head Office in Blackrock and permanent shops in Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Galway, Sligo and Dundalk in addition to Drury Street.

AA Roadwatch launched in the air and on the ground. Insurance shops opened in Blackrock, Rathfarnham, Walkinstown and Clontarf.

AA adopts FREEPHONE system for members contacting Rescue Service. Rescue Plus Service established.

AA introduces satellite technology to track its fleet to speed
service delivery.

The AA Online.
The AA launches its websites aaireland.ie and aaroadwatch.ie which
is set to become Ireland's travel and traffic portal.
