Tipp's Hotel Minella awarded 4 Stars

The Hotel Minella has become the latest Irish hotel to achieve four stars from the internationally renowned AA Inspection team. The south Tipperary hotel is a family sun enterprise and the pride and attention to detail are clear for the guest to see.

The hotel was set up by the late Jack and Babs Nallen at an old country house on the edge of Clonmel, beside the river Suir, and is run today by managing director Elizabeth Nallen-Bowen and her brother, John Nallen and is part of the Irish Country Hotels group.

"Our inspectors have had their eye on the hotel for some years, and both the commitment to quality and the genuine friendliness of the team there are very clear to see."

The quality of Ireland’s hotels continues to improve and now stands favourable comparison to anywhere in the world, according to the AA.

Minella offers a choice of 90 Classic and Contemporary bedrooms, including 4 superior suites with balconies, two of which have private outdoor hot tubs. The restaurant is inviting and cosy and is renowned for its excellent quality food and warm personal service. Minella can host a wide range of events, including weddings, corporate meetings, conferences and private dining.

What makes a Hotel 4 Star?

AA rating systems have evolved and developed continuously to match consumer expectations and industry standards. There is a comprehensive process of inspection and accreditation. In order to achieve a Four Star Hotel Classification and property must provide excellent facilities and service and must meet with exacting AA requirements; all areas of the operation should meet the four star standards for cleanliness, maintenance and hospitality and for the quality of physical facilities and delivery of services.
